The Obituary Writer by Ann Hood - the story of two women, one in 1960 and one 1911. One feels trapped in her marriage and the other is still searching for her lover lost in the San Francisco earthquake. The author uses food and brand names when talking about the 60's, which made it fun for me.

Nemesis by Jo Nesbo - there are several different plot lines in the 4th Harry Hole(holay) book. A bank robber kills a teller and Harry's ex girlfriend is found dead after he has a night there he can't remember.

The Devil's Star by Jo Nesbo - Harry must investigate a serial killer along with the Inspector he is sure is involved in illegal activities. I was totally surprised by the killer's identity. Quite an exciting ending. And now I'm caught up with this series.

Moloka'i by Alan Brennert - a 7 year old girl has leprosy and is sent to the lepers colony on Moloka'i. There she finds a different kind of family and we follow her life till the end. The story begins almost a century ago and ends in 1970. Some sex.
